David Weiss - Pastor

David Edward Weiss was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 25, 1955, the son of Audrey and Walter Weiss.


David attended St. John’s Lutheran school in Beloit, Wisconsin and is a 1973 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. Following high school he attended the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1979. In August of 1989, he enrolled in Concordia Seminary, St. Louis and graduated on May 28, 1993 with a Master of Divinity degree. His year of vicarage was served under Rev. Leo Kostizen at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Niles, Michigan.


On June 2, 1984, David and his wife, Sherri, were united in marriage. They have 5 children, Andrew, Amanda (Matt), Naomi, Ainsleigh and Gabrielle. They have 2 grandchildren, Sophia and Lucus.


David Weiss was ordained on June 20, 1993 at St. John Lutheran Church in Beloit and was installed as pastor of Calvary Lutheran Church on July 11, 1993. On June 1, 1997 he was installed as Pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Cassopolis, Michigan.


Pastor Weiss accepted the call to serve at St. Timothy on February 7, 2010.
