Music Ministry
St. Timothy Lutheran Church – Otisville, MI (LCMS)
“Sing to the Lord a new song.” – Psalm 96:1
Music is an important part of worship at St. Timothy Lutheran Church. Through hymns, liturgy, choir, and praise band, we join together in lifting our voices to God.
Worship Music
Our music supports Christ-centered worship and encourages full participation from the congregation. We use a blend of traditional Lutheran hymns and liturgical music that follows the Church Year.
- Traditional hymns from Lutheran Service Book (LSB)
- Liturgical responses and settings
- Organ, piano, and instrumental accompaniment
Praise Band – 11:00 AM Service
Our Praise Band leads worship at the 11:00 AM service, offering a blended style of music that supports congregational singing and praise.
The Praise Band is always looking for more musicians and vocalists. If you play an instrument, sing, or are interested in serving in this ministry, we would love to have you join us.
- Guitar, bass, drums, piano, vocals, and other instruments welcome
- No perfection required—just a willingness to serve
- Flexible involvement based on availability
Choir – 8:30 AM Service
Our Choir sings at the 8:30 AM service, especially during special seasons and festivals of the Church Year.
The Choir is also always welcoming new voices. If you enjoy singing, we encourage you to join us—no audition required.
- Supports Sunday morning worship throughout the year
- Open to adults and high school students
Special Music
We are happy to arrange special music throughout the year, including:
- Soloists
- Instrumentalists
- Small ensembles
- Seasonal musical offerings
